Where Photon wins
Raw execution on Solana. Same-block or next-block fills through its Jito integration, a discovery board next to the chart, and nothing else in the way.
It is one of the highest cumulative fee earners of the Solana terminal era, over $400M lifetime source, which tells you people trade real size through it rather than just opening it.
If your edge is your own reaction time on one chain, the extra features on the other side of this page are weight you do not need.
Where GMGN wins
Everything that is not speed. Thirteen chains against one, which matters the week a new chain starts moving. Copy trading for up to 10 wallets with per-wallet sizing, which Photon simply does not have. And the analytics underneath: which wallets are accumulating, who is exiting, what a trader's history actually looks like.
It also runs a Telegram bot on the same wallet as the web terminal, so the phone and the desktop are one account rather than two.

The fee is a tie, so ignore it
Both are 1% flat. Neither gives you a volume discount, and neither gives you a referral discount, whatever the affiliate blogs say about GMGN.
What differs is what surrounds the fee. Photon adds Solana network costs, priority fees and Jito tips on top, which is the price of speed and is worth it when speed is the point. GMGN spreads the same 1% across thirteen chains and a copy trading engine.

GMGN's is a name problem, not a code problem. Fake GMGN sites stole over $700K from users in late 2025 while the platform itself stayed intact. The defense is unglamorous: type gmgn.ai yourself, bookmark it, never follow an ad or a DM link.
Photon's is a documentation problem. The team is pseudonymous, there is no published audit, and third-party descriptions of its wallet key model contradict each other. Nothing has gone wrong with the platform, and that is not the same as knowing how it works.

Does Photon have copy trading?
No. It has limit orders and basic automation, nothing that mirrors another wallet. If copy trading is what you came for, GMGN or a dedicated app is the answer.
Is GMGN or Photon cheaper?
Neither. Both charge 1% flat with no discounts, and Photon adds Solana network and priority costs on top of it.
Can I use Photon on Ethereum or Base?
Not in 2026. Earlier Ethereum, Base and Blast versions exist but are no longer the focus, and Solana is where the product lives. GMGN covers thirteen chains if that is what you need.
Which is safer?
