Banana Gun Bot Review 2026: Speed, Fees, and the Refund That Defined It

Last verified: August 11, 2026, against bananagun.io and its docs. This review is about the Telegram trading bot, not toy guns and not only the BANANA token.

Verdict: Banana Gun is the speed bot. It built its reputation on first-block Ethereum sniping, charges half the market rate (0.5%) on manual Ethereum trades, and shares 40% of its fees with BANANA token holders. It was hit by the worst bot exploit of 2024 (about $3M) and refunded every user from its own treasury without selling tokens. Strong choice for Ethereum-first traders; the chain list now stretches to 8, including Stable and Arc.

IncidentsTwo, both handled with refunds or restitution: the 2023 token launch bug and the 2024 oracle exploit. Details below, because the details are the point.

What Banana Gun is

Banana Gun started as an Ethereum sniper bot on Telegram and that is still its center of gravity: the team claims most of its Ethereum snipes land in the first block. In 2026 it is really two products: the unified Telegram bot, and Banana Pro, a browser trading terminal with charts, wallet tracking and DCA that syncs with the same wallets. If you mostly trade Ethereum launches, the combination of speed and the 0.5% manual fee is the best deal among the major bots.

The two incidents, honestly told

September 2023: the BANANA token launch contract shipped with a bug that two audits missed. The token crashed and the team relaunched it with an airdrop to holders. Embarrassing, well documented, and a useful reminder that "audited" is not a safety guarantee.

September 19, 2024: attackers exploited a vulnerability in the Telegram message oracle and drained about $3M from 11 users mid-session. The team refunded everyone in full from the treasury, without selling tokens, and added 2FA plus transfer delays. No incident has surfaced since.

Read those two stories together and you get the honest picture of this category: things break, and the teams that survive are the ones that pay users back. Banana Gun paid. It remains a pseudonymous team holding your deposit on their infrastructure. Only deposit what you actively trade; the safety page explains why this rule applies to every bot, not just this one.

The BANANA angle

Banana Gun is unusual in paying 40% of its trading fees to token holders every 4 hours, with a 50 BANANA minimum and payouts market-bought rather than printed. That makes BANANA a bet on bot volume, with all the volatility that implies (the 2023 crash proved it). Holding it is optional and not required to use the bot; do not confuse the two decisions.
