BasedBot Review 2026: the 16-Chain Bot Almost Nobody Has Reviewed
Last verified: August 11, 2026, against docs.basedbot.app and our own trading use. Contains a referral link, marked below. Beware: based-bot.com is a third-party referral site, not the official product; the bot is @based_eth_bot on Telegram and basedbot.app on the web.
The facts, dated
| Item | Status as of August 11, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Fee | 1% per transaction, no hidden extras per the official docs. |
| Cashback | Published 5-tier ladder: 5% (under $1K volume), 10% ($1K+), 15% ($10K+), 20% ($100K+), 25% ($1M+). Paid in the chain's native currency, $10 minimum cashout. |
| Chains | 16 in the docs: Ethereum, Base, BSC, Solana, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Abstract, HyperEVM, Ink, Story, X Layer, Unichain, Plasma, Monad, MegaETH, Tempo. In our own use the bot has supported new chains before the docs listed them, so treat the docs as a floor, not a ceiling. |
| Custody | Wallet tied to your Telegram account; the docs state only you can see your private key and that their database stores it hashed. That claim has not been independently verified. |
| Team | Anonymous. The docs mention "regular security audits" but name no auditor and publish no report; the "Audit" feature in the bot is a token scanner, not a platform audit. |
| Incidents | None documented. With the honest caveat that absence of incidents at lower scrutiny proves less than it does for the heavily attacked market leaders. |
What BasedBot is
BasedBot is a Telegram trading bot (plus a web terminal) in the Maestro mold: paste a contract address, buy, snipe, set limits, no KYC. What makes it worth a page when barely anyone has reviewed it is positioning: it is consistently early on brand-new chains. When a new network launches with a memecoin scene, BasedBot tends to be tradable there while bigger bots are still planning support. If your edge is being early on new chains, that speed of integration is the feature. It is the bot we use in our own day-one new chain method.
The cashback ladder, published for once
Most bots either have no cashback or will not print the numbers. BasedBot's docs publish the whole ladder, from 5% of fees back under $1,000 of volume to 25% past $1M, paid in the native coin of the chain you trade. At the 25% tier the effective fee drops to 0.75%, which matches Axiom's best volume tier while staying inside Telegram. Publishing the numbers is exactly the behavior this site wants to reward, so here it is, rewarded.
What its docs do not say
Fair is fair, so the gaps get equal billing. The team is anonymous, which is normal in this category but still a risk. The security page claims audits without naming any auditor or linking any report; until one is published, treat "audited" as unproven. The private key storage claim (hashed, visible only to you) is a design description from the vendor, not a verified fact. And with a smaller user base than Maestro or Banana Gun, BasedBot simply has not faced the same level of attack, so its clean record carries less information. None of this is disqualifying. All of it belongs in a review.

FAQ
Is BasedBot legit?
It is a functioning bot we have traded real funds through, with published fees and cashback and a working referral program that pays out. Legit does not equal risk-free: anonymous team, unverified audit claims, deposits on their infrastructure.
What are BasedBot's fees?
1% per trade, reduced in practice by the cashback ladder: 5% of fees back at the lowest tier, 25% past $1M in volume.
Which chains does BasedBot support?
16 listed in the docs as of August 2026, and in our experience new chains sometimes work before the docs mention them. If a chain just launched, try pasting a contract address before assuming it is unsupported.
